On Saturday, November 10, Mezrah Consulting was pleased to support this year’s 2018 Tampa Bay Heart Walk supporting the American Heart Association. Mezrah Consulting also had a team participate in the Heart Walk this year. Katie Censoplano, Brittany Darby, and Kimberly Everett had a wonderful time walking to help fund lifesaving heart disease and stroke research as well as community programs and advocacy efforts along with more than 30,000 other people.
This year’s fundraising goal for the Heart Walk was $4,200,000 and they exceeded that goal with $4,388,531 raised making this year’s walk a record breaker! Donations are still being accepted.

Hundreds of families received a turkey and groceries to make their side dishes for Thanksgiving on that day. Mezrah Consulting was able to raise over $450 to support this effort to provide a Happy Thanksgiving to Tampa families in need with a company match for employees who personally donated.
Mezrah Consulting has so many reasons to be thankful each year and Thanks For Giving was a wonderful opportunity to spread our gratitude to as many families as possible!
Mezrah Consulting is honored to be a sponsor for the FACES A Celebration of Steve Raymund and the Heroes of the Gulf Coast gala which will be held on Thursday, November 8th, at the Hilton St. Pete Carillon Park (6:00 p.m. cocktails and 7:00 p.m. program and dinner). FACES is the Gulf Coast Jewish Family and Community Services’ (GCJFCS) signature fundraising event and recognizes individuals who overcome hardships with the support of our programs and includes the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
This year Mr. Raymund will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his personal and passionate commitment to Gulf Coast JFCS, his many years of service as a member of the Board of Trustees, and his current service as Chair of Gulf Coast Cares, Inc. His support of Gulf Coast JFCS has been vital to the growth and impact of our work across the state of Florida.
On Saturday, October 27, Mezrah Consulting was a sponsor for the 2018 Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s (JDRF) 12th Annual Night of Hope Gala, Rockin’ Toward a Cure. The event was held at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina. This year’s Gala honored Bob and Lorraine Dutkowsky for their outstanding support of and commitment to the Tampa Bay community. The event was a rousing success, helping the Tampa Bay chapter raise over ONE MILLION DOLLARS and propelling them to become one of the top 25 chapters nationwide!
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that strikes both children and adults suddenly. At present, there is no cure for type 1 diabetes and nothing can be done to prevent the disease as it has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. The strength of the JDRF lies in their exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.
Make-A-Wish Southern Florida held their Wishmaker’s Ball on Saturday, May 12th at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. The evening included dinner, silent and live auctions, a special performance by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts (bottom left picture), and an After Party featuring live music. The Wishmaker’s Ball helps grant more than 50 wishes for children with critical illnesses in the Tampa Bay community.
Mezrah Consulting was thrilled to sponsor a table at the event. Several of our employees attended along with Todd and Shari Mezrah (bottom right picture). A magical night of dancing took place after an exciting performance from Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Mezrah Consulting is proud to support the ongoing efforts of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida as they serve children of 22 counties in Florida, granting a wish every 14 hours!
The Keymorada Fishing Tournament takes place each year during the second week of May. The 2018 event will be held at the beautiful Cheeca Lodge Resort & Spa in Islamorada Florida. Mezrah Consulting supports this event by purchasing raffle tickets for the event’s two drawings (a General Drawing with prizes like hotel stays, restaurant certificates and jewelry and a Fishing Drawing with prizes like guided days of fishing, rods, reels, etc.). This event has become one of the largest charity fishing events in the country raising millions of dollars for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and helping to launch and provide ongoing support to a special unit at University of Miami Medical Center focused on treating and curing these debilitating diseases.
Mezrah Consulting is proud to be a sponsor for the Marriott Vacations Worldwide 21st Annual Caring Classic Golf Tournament! The tournament takes place on April 27, 2018, at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes.
The Tournament supports the valuable pediatric programs at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. During the round of golf, players can win grand prizes by competing in individual and team challenges. On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, Mezrah Consulting attended the Waves of Change Women’s Leadership Award Luncheon. The guest speaker was Joy Mangano, known for the Miracle Mop sold on HSN.
The Waves of Changes event attracts affluent, educated professionals. 85% of attendees are women ranging from CEOs to young professionals in the Tampa Bay community. They are key influencers, philanthropic, business and community-minded. The luncheon provides a chance for women to network, develop relationships and discuss issues affecting women in business and their personal lives.
The recipient of the Waves Award pays tribute to a local woman who has turned the tide for women’s leadership in our Tampa Bay community. The local recipient is Clemmie C. Perry, who started Women of Color Golf (WOCG), and Girls On the Green Tee (GOTG-T), which are programs designed to increase & facilitate minority participation in the sport of golf for women and girls. .
On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, The University of Alabama held its River Pitch Competition. The competition gives students and community members an opportunity to engage in a 3-minute pitch of a business idea to of a panel of judges. Mezrah Consulting sponsored the event, and Todd Mezrah, a proud alumnus of The University of Alabama, was invited to be one of the River Pitch judges.
The participants had the opportunity to win $1,000 and, more importantly, to meet business leaders who could give them valuable feedback, help them more fully develop their business idea, and assist them in improving their pitch.River Pitch is a joint effort of the Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute and The EDGE Entrepreneurship Center. Both of these organizations are part of The University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Commerce, the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, and the city of Tuscaloosa.

On Wednesday, October 11, 2017, Todd Mezrah will be joining the team at Monin Gourmet Flavorings for the Monin Flavor Ride to raise funds for the Helen David Relief Fund at the USBG National Charity Foundation. The bike ride starts and ends at Clearwater Beach. The team will cross four bridges and parallel a Designated Scenic Highway for much of the route.
The Helen David Relief Fund honors the memory of Tony Abou-Ganim’s cousin, Port Huron, a MI bar owner and community leader who passed from breast cancer. The USBG National Charity Foundation works to support the lifelong stability and well being of service industry professionals through education and service activities.
Mezrah Consulting was happy to support the Kiwanis Clubs of Antelope Valley in Palmdale, CA, by adopting a Flock of Ducks for their 12th Annual Antelope Valley Rubber Duck Race. The race took place on September 1, 2017, at the Lazy River at Dry Town Water Park. The rubber ducks were released to float one lap around the Lazy River, and the first twelve ducks around the water attraction were the winners. The rubber ducks had numbers on their bottoms that corresponded to prizes, including a $1,000,000 prize (unfortunately, the Million Dollar Duck wasn’t one of the first 12)!
The Kiwanis Club of Antelope Valley supports projects such as scholarships at four local high schools, the Annual Adopt-A-Family during the holiday season, hot meals provided quarterly for food insecure families in conjunction with Grace Resource, and their 30 year project with Palmdale School District recognizing excellent student behavior.
|On August 15th, the women of Mezrah Consulting attended the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce‘s Women’s Series Luncheon “Act Like a Lady Work Like a Boss: What Women Need to Become Strong Business Leaders” sponsored by USAA. The event was hosted by the Embassy Suites by Hilton in downtown Tampa. The main event of the luncheon was a panel of four women – all Tampa business leaders – answering questions submitted by the attendees. The panel consisted of Robin DeLaVergne, Executive Director of Tampa General Hospital; Maryann Ferenc, CEO/Proprietor of Mise en Place; Colette Glover-Hannah, CEO/Proprietor of Hannah’s Shoebox; and Yvette Segura, Vice President and General Manager of USAA’s Southeast Regional Office.
The panel fielded questions, such as what was the biggest mistake in their careers and what they learned from that experience, what did they wish they could go back and tell their younger selves, what was the moment they knew they were on the correct path, and what advice did they have for women starting their careers. Their answers were insightful and enlightening and included such advice as:

|On June 16, members of Mezrah Consulting joined a team of over 100 volunteers to help load and deliver over 700 free bags of produce to Tampa area seniors through the Meals On Wheels of Tampa’s Produce On Wheels (POW!) program! According to Meals on Wheels, “This monthly program, partnered with Feeding Tampa Bay, will help increase senior and home-bound access to fresh produce.” The POW! program is looking for further funding to make this a daily fresh produce delivery in order “to further their mission of nourishing, enriching, and strengthening the independent lives of the home-bound and seniors in Tampa.”

Meals on Wheels of Tampa has been dedicated to delivering hot meals to seniors and home-bound individuals since 1975. They currently deliver hot lunches to over 700 people.
|In April, Mezrah Consulting was happy to contribute to The Binghamton University, Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi’s Third Annual Rock-A-Thon. The event started on Tuesday, April 25th at 6:00 pm and ended 48 hours later on Thursday, April 27th at 6:00 pm. All proceeds were donated to the American Cancer Association and the Israel Children’s Cancer Foundation.
The Rock-A-Thon is a philanthropic event where one Alpha Epsilon Pi brother sits and rocks in a rocking chair for 48 hours nonstop while the other brothers go and fundraise around campus and the Binghamton area. This year Alpha Epsilon Pi was able to raise over $2,700.00.

|Mezrah Consulting is sponsoring the 8th Annual Wishmaker’s Ball taking place on Saturday, May 6, 2017. This black tie event starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes a luxurious three-course dinner, silent and live auctions, live entertainment, and special appearances from local wish kids! The evening’s theme is “Havana Nights” and is a celebration of support from the Tampa Bay community in granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions in Hillsborough, Hernando, Pinellas, Polk, and Pasco counties.

|Todd Mezrah recently participated in the American Diabetes Association’s 2017 Southwest Florida Tour de Cure. Todd cycled 62 miles participating with Team Tech Data. In total, the team raised over $7000.00!
According to the American Diabetes Association, the Tour de Cure is the premier cycling fundraising event of the American Diabetes Association and the nation’s largest diabetes cycling event. This event is a unique opportunity for businesses, clubs, friends, and families
|Mezrah Consulting has been proud to support the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF) the past few years, sponsoring the annual Brinner of Hope (breakfast for dinner) event. This year, we continued our support by sponsoring a new event: The Sunshine Project Summit held at the Tampa Airport Marriott on February 2nd & 3rd. The Summit provides an opportunity for doctors who are conducting cancer research in various hospitals throughout the US to discuss their work.
There was a networking dinner held the evening of the 2nd that was truly uplifting. Dr. Stephen Lessnick received the NPCF’s Heart of Gold award for his hard work and dedication to finding a faster cure, and several families whose lives have been touched by pediatric cancer shared their stories with attendees.
|The 5th Annual Companies for Kids Golf Invitational supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa will be held on December 8, 2016, at Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club. Mezrah Consulting is proud to be sponsoring a hole at the event this year. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay’s mission is to “provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.” They serve seven counties: Hillsborough, Pinellas, Polk, Pasco, Citrus, Hernando, and Sumter counties.|
|Mezrah Consulting sponsored both semesters of the 2016 University of South Florida’s MUMA College of Business Trading Challenge Scholarship. The challenge was open to any Muma College of Business student. All players began with $1 million in virtual cash. The student with the highest account value at the end of the semester won a $1,000 scholarship.|
|Mezrah Consulting is happy to sponsor the Make-A-Wish Annual Night of the Iguana. This is the 20th year of this fundraising event and will be hosted by Pepin’s Hospitality Centre on Friday, September 20, 2016. Proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Central & Northern Florida, which grants the wishes of children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. |On June 13, 2016, Mezrah Consulting was proud to sponsor a hole at the Consolidated Services Group’s (CSG) Tenth Anniversary Charity Golf Outing to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation. The event raised over $45,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia, Northern Delaware and the Susquehanna Valley – enough funds to grant wishes to 21 children in their community!|
|The 6th Annual Partners in Charity Silent Auction & Golf Tournament was held by Home Shopping Network (HSN) on Friday, April 15, 2016. Mezrah Consulting participated as a Bronze Sponsor. The tournament raised over $43,500.00 for Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay’s kindergarten-12th grade programs, which foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills.|
|On Thursday, April 7th, Todd and Shari Mezrah, Katie Censoplano, Stephanie Taylor, and Jesse Klaucke of Mezrah Consulting attended the 29th Annual Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame event. The Florida Council on Economic Education hosted the event, which focuses on educating children to become economically responsible. This year’s theme was “Anchors of Our Community.” Jerry Divers, Bryan Glazer, Brian Lamb, Geoff Simon, and, in memoriam, Harris Mullen were inducted as the Class of 2016.||

|Todd and Shari Mezrah, along with MC team members, attended the Tampa Tree of Life Awards Dinner on April 14th at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. The event was held by the Jewish National Fund, an organization specializing in the development of Israeli land and infrastructure, especially the planting of trees. Todd’s parents, Diane and Leon Mezrah, were honored for their long support of Jewish activities in the Tampa Bay area.|
|MC Senior Financial Analyst, Jesse Klaucke, attended a luncheon on April 19th held by Financial Executives International (FEI). The lunch was held to discuss launching a Sarasota/Bradenton chapter. Currently, FEI has a Tampa chapter and is in the process of recruiting members for the new chapter.|
|Mezrah Consulting sponsored the 2016 Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay Hall of Fame held on March 3rd. The event, held at Busch Gardens, honored selected Laureates with a “record of business achievement that demonstrates business excellence, vision and innovation, inspiring, courageous leadership, and community responsibility.”|
|Todd Mezrah presented “How to be a Financial Entrepreneur” to students at the University of Southern Florida and The University of Tampa. He spoke about his experiences becoming and being an entrepreneur as well as what it takes to become an entrepreneur in the financial services industry.|
